Vikramjiet Roy

Vikramjiet Roy is the Head of the Region, ISEAP (India, South-East Asia and Pacific) of the Officine Maccaferri Group (headquartered in Italy), a global leader in the niche space of eco-friendly civil and geotechnical engineering solutions for the construction of core physical infrastructure as well as for mitigating geo-hazards. He is also the Managing Director of Maccaferri Environmental Solutions Pvt. Ltd., India. Was awarded for Business Excellence by the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce for achieving exponential growth and making a mark for Italian business in India.
He started his entrepreneurial journey in 2002 with his startup, Sargon Geosynthetics Ltd., in the civil and geotechnical engineering space, recognizing early the opportunity and potential of India’s infrastructure development and growth story.
Vikramjiet’s experience of more than 25 years encompasses a range of business sectors like industrial products, civil & geotechnical engineering and core physical infrastructure. He is also an angel investor, nurturing and mentoring IT startups spanning mobile VAS, digital media and marketing tech, education amongst others.
He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Project WHY, an NGO that sets out to create spaces wherein quality educational support is provided to underprivileged children that can improve their learning outcomes.
Having graduated from St.Xavier’s College, Kolkata University, he is an Associate Member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.
