Yuri Jain

Yuri, until recently, was the Global Vice President at Unilever, responsible for its worldwide water purification business. Yuri actually built-up the business from scratch, driven by the purpose of wanting to find, a scalable and sustainable way of protecting human lives with safe drinking water. Now, spread across many countries, this business has protected 80 million people, making its water purifier brand ‘Pureit’ the world’s largest selling water purifier.

Yuri was profiled in the Harvard Business Review (2012) as one of four leading catalysts in global innovation. ‘Pureit’ was awarded the UK government’s first innovation award ‘iaward’ (2009), and has won a range of other innovation awards including the Golden Peacock innovation award four times. Harvard has also done a case study on ‘Pureit’.

Yuri has now transitioned to being a full time volunteer with Isha Foundation.
