Co-Founder, OLA cabs

Bhavish Aggarwal is the Co-Founder & CEO of Ola, one of the world’s largest ride-sharing platforms and India’s most popular mobile app for transportation. With the mission of building mobility for a billion people, he started Ola (formerly OlaCabs) in 2010 with Ankit Bhati, a fellow alumnus from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai, the country’s premier institution for technology and science.

Before Ola, Bhavish worked with Microsoft Research for two years, filing two patents alongside having three papers published in international academic journals.

Ola is now one of India’s most valuable and respected new economy organization with 10,00,000 driver partners in over 110+ cities. The company offers 14 services across diverse categories including business-class vehicles, shared transport and auto rickshaws. With over a billion rides annually, Ola is a true blue Indian unicorn which believes in responsible consumption with shared transportation key to that agenda. True to this spirit, Bhavish doesn’t own a car and vows that he never will.

As a rapidly-growing organization that nurtures the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship, Ola took the first big step in spreading its wings outside of India with the launch in Australia in early 2018, followed by its entry in UK. This move is line with Ola’s vision of solving globally relevant problems with hyperlocal solutions.
