gMr. Ravindran (Ravi) co-founded ‘Leadership-Next’, a start-up project to build a knowledge-domain for avant-garde resources in Leadership Development. Envisioned in 2013 by like-minded practitioners from industry & academia, the project aims to create advanced programs for leadership-development founded on ‘eastern’ ethos, thought and heritage. This will seek alternate resources to enhance contextual relevance & new insights for holistic growth to address the unique contexts of India, Asia and emerging geographies.

Formerly, Ravi was the chief executive officer of SHRM India responsible for all of SHRM’s operations in India, Greater Asia, Middle East & Africa. He was a key member of SHRM’s Global Leadership Team. The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world’s largest not-for-profit institution with a strategic role to enhance engagement within the Global HR community. Under his leadership, SHRM not only repositioned itself for the future, but also led path-breaking work in areas like work-force readiness, knowledge-advisory services, academic initiatives & research.

Ravi has over 34 years’ experience across the globe in leadership roles (institution building, HR, business growth, & learning & development) working across industry with Indian & global corporates (ICI, Blue Dart, Pepsi, Covansys).

Prior to his master’s from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, he graduated in science-education from the University of Mysore. He has interned with ISISD, and accredited in HAY systems, and is a SAS Master-Trainer for Service Excellence. He is a Certified GPHR and Executive Coach. He has been recognized by government and industry associations for avant-garde contributions like “Industrialize Agriculture” and “Export Labour,”, and also by management forums for thought leadership in areas like “Transition Management,” “Behavioural dimensions of innovation” and ‘Models for Tomorrow’s Enterprise.”

Ravi’s maverick practice of leadership & innovation within his own outfit won acclaim from Economic Times as a ‘Golden Company’ of the future, recognising his ideas on enterprise structure, diversity and leadership in a multigenerational era. His insights on Non-hierarchical organizations, Technology innovation for ‘NEXT’ level knowledge management and, Project Based workforces are influencing today’s enterprises to prepare for the future.

A serial experimenter of behavioural-arts, he has conceptualized & executed growth interventions in businesses using music & sports like golf.
